Mercedes-Benz AMG G63 worth 250,000 euros stolen in Germany and found in Tirana

A luxury car worth 250,000 euros, which had been stolen in Germany, was located and seized in the Albanian capital, Tirana, while an arrest warrant was issued for the 34-year-old who was allegedly trafficking it with the intention of selling it.

According to the Police, it is a Mercedes-Benz AMG G63, which was discovered during targeted checks, confirming that it was illegally transported from Germany to Albania.

This seizure is part of a broader police operation codenamed "Stolen Line", which had begun the previous day. As part of this operation, the authorities had already seized four other luxury vehicles worth a total of around 200,000 euros and had taken legal action against two suspects, while two others were placed on international wanted lists. These vehicles had been stolen in various countries, including Italy, Germany and the United States.

Investigations are continuing, aiming to identify the suspect and fully document the case, while all collected evidence has been forwarded to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.

The case highlights the international dimension of the trade in stolen luxury vehicles, with many vehicles from European countries ending up for sale in Albania.
