The Special Court announced the verdict on the sentence of former Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Joana Duro. According to information from Albanian media, Duro was sentenced to 4 years in prison, of which 1/3 is reduced, bringing the total to 2 years and 8 months.
It is also reported that an additional sentence was imposed on Douro, who is not allowed to hold any public office for 5 years.
Meanwhile, Laura Shteto, Valdimit Topi and Silvi Shehi were sentenced to 1 year in prison each and due to the shortened trial they were sentenced to a total of 8 months.
We remind you that Joana Duro is accused of passive corruption.
According to SPAK, Topi and Sehi gave Laura Steto 330,000 lek to win the competition to supervise several health centers in Tirana and Durres.
