The Independent Public Revenue Authority (IPRA) announced the extension of the operating hours of the Kakavia and Krystallopigi border customs offices, with the aim of facilitating trade and the unhindered movement of goods between Greece and Albania.
According to the relevant announcement, from the Tuesday, October 14, 2025 the new extended opening hours will come into effect for empty trucks, as follows:
- Summer season (April 1 – October 31): from 22:00 to 00:00
- Winter season (November 1 – March 31): from 21:00 to 23:00
The regulation applies exclusively to empty trucks, i.e. unladen vehicles, regardless of direction of movement – both when entering and leaving the country.
The AADE emphasizes that this decision is part of the actions to facilitate cross-border commodity flows and better serve businesses active in the movement of goods between the two countries.
