The former chairman of the Socialist Party and former Prime Minister of Albania, Fatos Nano, has been hospitalized in critical condition for days.
According to the medical statement, Nano has been hospitalized in serious condition for the past few days, after suffering a cardiorespiratory arrest. "The patient remains in very serious condition, with an uncertain prognosis," the hospital statement said.
The former prime minister's health condition remains critical, and he has been in intensive care for 11 days. Doctors say the biggest concern is the brain, which is particularly vulnerable due to prolonged hypoxia during cardiopulmonary arrest.
A team of Specialized foreign doctors has also arrived at the tirana hospital, who are closely monitoring his condition.
It is noted that about two years ago, Fatos Nano was hospitalized again for respiratory problems, a fact that demonstrates the chronic burdens on his health.
