Speaking on his personal weekly podcast "Flasim", the Albanian Prime Minister argued that the relevant information has no factual basis and is a product of disinformation that, as he said, is mainly circulated within the country.

According to him, recently allegations are being spread that present Albania as a possible target of an Iranian attack, something that is not based on real data and creates unjustified concern among citizens.

The Albanian Prime Minister recalled that Albania is a NATO member state and is covered by the Alliance's collective defense system. As he mentioned, NATO's operational readiness was also demonstrated in an incident in Turkey, where a missile attributed to Iran was immediately intercepted.

According to Rama, the speed of the Alliance's reaction shows that protection mechanisms are being activated for all member states, which makes speculation about an attack on albania Unfounded.

At the same time, in 2023, Albanian authorities carried out inspections of the complex where MEK members are hosted, as part of an investigation into possible illegal activities, which once again highlighted the sensitive dimension of the issue.

Within this geopolitical context of tension, it is also explained why scenarios of possible threats against Albania periodically appear, which the government in Tirana categorically rejects.
