Part-time foreign minister?

Foreign policy, especially in these difficult times, is a matter of exclusive occupation; it cannot be a side job or a supplementary occupation for any minister.

We read that George Gerapetritis, due to his status as a prominent professor at the Law School, has taken on the main burden of shaping the framework of the government's proposal for the Constitutional Revision. This is an extremely difficult and demanding task and Mr. Mitsotakis obviously cannot but entrust it to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, who has been his close collaborator for years and possesses the necessary knowledge.

However, it is not possible for greek foreign policy to be sidelined, as it is obvious that the proposal for The Constitutional revision requires too much time and requires the continuous presence Of George gerapetritis In athens until its completion.

If someone in the government can convince us that we are in such a relaxed period for national issues and international developments, while all fronts have opened up on the international chessboard, then let us agree that Mr. Gerapetritis can continue with the Constitutional Review in the time he has left to deal with foreign policy...
