Albania: He tied the dog to the car and dragged it along the road (video)

Inhumane images in the Shkodra region confirm that animal abuse incidents in Albania continue to increase, despite numerous complaints.

A citizen recorded on video a driver dragging a live dog tied to his trailer at high speed with his vehicle.

According to the complainant's testimony, the animal was alive, but the driver continued his act with complete disregard for the animal's safety.

After the video was published on social media, the Shkodra Police reacted immediately. Authorities managed to identify and arrest the 55-year-old owner of the vehicle as a suspect for abusing the dog.

As stated in an official announcement, following police procedures, the case was referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated for the act of "Animal Abuse." The Mercedes-type vehicle used was seized by the police as evidence.
