The Prosecutor has filed a charge of intentional homicide in a calm state of mind against a 29-year-old Albanian man, who allegedly confessed to beating a 58-year-old driver to death, following an argument over an alleged traffic accident on Monday, in Neos Kosmos. The case has now been taken over by a Regular Investigator, while the accused is expected to request a deadline for his defense.

At the same time, the authorities have made three more arrests – two young men who were riding motorcycles and were involved in the initial incident, as well as the father of one of them – for misdemeanor offenses that do not result in detention.

At the same time, statements and testimonies shed new light on the tragic events that led to the death of the 58-year-old. According to key testimony, the incident began on Frantzis Street, where the two men argued after a minor collision. The 29-year-old allegedly punched the driver, with the incident appearing to be temporarily over, as the 58-year-old apologized and their paths parted for a while.

However, the 58-year-old followed the young man to a gym near his home, where he stopped and waited for him in his Vehicle. when The 29-year-old got on his motorcycle to leave, the driver of the White sUV approached him and, according to testimony, sprayed him with pepper spray through the window.

A chase ensued, with the 58-year-old heading towards Machis Analatou Avenue and the 29-year-old following him at a very short distance. Shortly afterwards, the young man allegedly cornered the victim's vehicle at the dead end of Soulier Street, where he fatally struck him.

The eyewitness who was at the gym described that the 29-year-old had reported the initial incident, but remained calm and remained there for about fifteen minutes before leaving. As soon as he got on the bike, the 58-year-old suddenly appeared and sprayed him. The witness heard the car revving, got out and, as he testified, saw the young man explain how he was sprayed before starting to chase the driver.

The evidence from the testimonies is expected to be taken into account by the judicial authorities, as the case is shocking public opinion due to the extreme escalation of a simple traffic altercation into a fatal attack.
