Edi Rama gave an interview to Sky News. He said he expects an apology from the British government after the statements of the Home Secretary, Suela Braverman, who expressed concerns that Albanian immigrants are invading Great Britain and called them "criminals invading England." Rama said that Braverman's goal is to secure as many votes as possible with such statements. While he stressed that the consequences will be disastrous for Albanians in the United Kingdom and Britain itself.

“I never heard an apology, which makes me think that rather than an exaggerated expression of disappointment, this was a targeted attack. And that’s the most worrying thing. When you apologize, it’s okay – it happened. When you don’t, and when you avoid it, it means you want and you say what is being said. That means there is a purpose behind it. It means you are actually speaking to a certain number of voters who want to hear it. And you are feeding them that because you need their votes. But the consequences of that could be devastating for our people in Britain and for Britain itself,” Rama said.

For some time now, the British media has been sounding the alarm about Albanians who are illegally entering Great Britain and seeking asylum.
