New details have come to light regarding the events that took place in January and July 2020, where four people from Montenegro and Serbia were killed.

Decryption of conversations from the SKY application revealed the involvement of an Albanian in the murder of members of the Montenegrin mafia that occurred in Corfu and Vari in 2020.

"From Europol's data, it was determined that the user of the Sky ECC application is an Albanian citizen resident in Greece and has two bank accounts at the National Bank and the corresponding debit cards," the information states.

"It is very possible that during the investigations the method of earning black money will be discovered, which may be related to the two murders, but also to drug trafficking."

On the afternoon of Sunday, January 19, 2020, in Vari-Koropi, at the “Voskopoula” tavern, there was relative calm. There were many people in the restaurant, including two foreign families. Suddenly, four people entered the tavern with their faces uncovered and automatic weapons in their hands. Before the people at the table could react, the four men shot and executed them in cold blood, in front of the rest of their families and the customers.

The victims were a Slovenian and a Montenegrin. Police concluded that it was a case of settling scores.

This bloody incident was just the beginning. Seven months later, the conflict continued, this time on the island of Phaeacia. Two more men, one from Serbia and one from Montenegro, were found dead in a car parked in the yard of a rented house.

The incident took place in the Kanouli area of Agios Mattheos, Corfu on the evening of July 23, 2020.

The file showed that the two victims of Vari were wanted internationally by the montenegrin Authorities for forming a criminal organization.

Investigations showed that the victims were related to the Skaljari criminal organization, which is based in the city of Kotor, Montenegro, and has been in a feud with another organization, Kavac, in recent years, from the same city.

According to Europol, French authorities were in possession of coded conversations, some of which are related to the murders in Vari and Corfu.

For this reason, Europol submitted a request to the Special Chamber of the Paris Court of First Instance against Junalco organized crime and was provided with data on the content of the conversations of users of the Sky ECC application.

It is now expected that further details will be clarified in the investigations that follow, and the role of the Albanians will be revealed.
