The Special Judicial Authority against corruption And organized crime In Albania rejected The request of the leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, to impose milder restrictive conditions.
According to the Albanian court's decision, Meta will continue to remain in detention.
The former President of Albania is accused of corruption, money laundering and concealment of their origin, in the context of investigations into the Cez-Dia case, the lobbying he allegedly carried out in the United States, as well as family expenses.
In the same case, which is being tried in Albania, his ex-wife, MP Monica Kriemadi, is also being investigated, and a milder measure has been imposed on her, that of mandatory appearance before the authorities.
