Rama condemned London yesterday for comments he deemed discriminatory against Albanians, following statements by British officials accusing Albanian nationals of irregular immigration to Britain.
The crossing of the English Channel in small boats by migrants is a problem for British officials, while Brexit would theoretically allow for better control of the country's borders.
According to official statistics, Albanians now represent the majority of those making the crossing.
In a series of tweets, Rama stressed that british Officials are actively participating in "discrimination" against Albanians.
"Targeting Albanians (as some shamelessly did when campaigning for Brexit) as the cause of border problems and crime in the UK is convenient rhetoric that ignores the facts," the Albanian prime minister wrote on Twitter.
"Albanians in the UK work hard and pay their taxes. The UK should fight criminal gangs of all nationalities and stop discriminating against Albanians to justify political failures," he added.
British Home Secretary Suela Braverman has faced fierce criticism for describing the arrival of asylum seekers as an invasion, with politicians from across the political spectrum warning of the danger of using such inflammatory language.
During a debate in Parliament, Braverman referred to this issue yesterday, speaking of an "invasion" of England by immigrants, making particular reference to Albanian asylum seekers.
It was recently reported that 12,000 Albanians arrived in the UK across the Channel during the year, compared to just 50 in 2020.
The UK Is facing a record number of small boat Crossings across the channel, almost 40,000 since the start of the Year. the government expects the number to reach 50,000 By the end of the year.
