Rama MP demands explanations from Athens for Albanians non grata

Socialist party mP Ardit Bido Officially Addressed the ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Hellenic republic and the greek embassy In tirana, requesting the publication of the list of individuals who have been banned from Entering greece, as well as the legal reasons behind these decisions.

According to him, the lack of transparency has created insecurity for many citizens who travel regularly for work, family visits or other legitimate reasons for years. This request is made after the recent declaration of Journalist artan hoxha as "non Grata" from the greek state.

Bido emphasizes that "it is time for this matter to be officially clarified, in order to avoid misunderstandings and strengthen trust between the institutions of the two countries."

Request for publication of the list of people banned from entering Greece

Honorable Minister,
Honorable Ambassador,

With this letter, I am officially addressing you on an issue that concerns Albanian citizens and the relations between our two countries.

For years, reports have been circulating in the Albanian public discourse about the existence of a list of Albanian citizens on whom the Greek authorities have imposed an entry ban. The lack of official information has caused insecurity and concern, especially among those who travel regularly for work, family reasons or other legitimate matters.

For this reason, i ask you to notify:

1. The official list of individuals who have been banned from entering, as well as the corresponding legal reasons; or, if the publication of names is not permitted,
2. The total number of cases, the categories of legal reasons and the procedure followed to impose the measure.

Transparency on this specific issue serves citizens, strengthens trust between institutions and helps avoid misunderstandings.

Appreciating the good relations between Albania and Greece, I await an official response.

This particular member of parliament from the Rama government, known for his anti-Greek positions and for his election campaign that was based on targeting the Greek minority and Greece, knows very well that, if the Greek list of Albanians "non grata" fits on one page, Albania's corresponding list for Greeks and Northern Epirus residents could fill an entire book.
