The Thursday the panel of judges is expected to meet Albanian Constitutional Court, which will decide whether the case concerning the Belinda Balluku will be submitted for substantive examination.

Today's session did not lead to a unanimous decision by the competent chamber of the Constitutional Court on whether the case should be examined. For this reason, the matter was referred to the Plenary of the judges, where the final decision on whether the Albanian Prime Minister's appeal should be heard will be taken., Edi Rama will be examined on the merits. The central issue raised is the suspension of the decision that has removed him from office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluku.

At November 21, on Rama's initiative, the Council of Ministers of Albania appealed the Decision Of the constitutional court Special Court against Corruption, which had ordered Balluku's temporary removal from office. In its appeal, the government submits four requests, including the clarification of the boundaries between the powers of the judiciary and the independence of the executive branch.

The Special Court of First Instance against Corruption had decided on November 22 to remain in force the restrictive measures against Balluku, namely the removal from duties and the ban on leaving the country, following the criminal prosecution by SPAK for violations in the public tender process.

At the same time, Balluku has appealed to Special Court of Appeal against Corruption, requesting the annulment of the first-instance decision and the complete lifting of all restrictive measures.
