An Albanian drug gang leader who supplied much of the UK is fighting to avoid deportation to Albania. Home Secretary Suella Braverman wants to deport him, the Sun reports, but has launched a legal battle to keep him in England.
He claims he needs to stay in Britain so his family can have better healthcare, as his son suffers from autism.
The Sun writes that he controlled a £6 million cannabis network
He had 30 people at his disposal and used his compatriots to launder the proceeds through their bank accounts in the United Kingdom.
He was sentenced to six years in 2018 but was released after 30 months. The Probation Service considers the 49-year-old Albanian to be a “low risk” of reoffending, according to the immigration court. The Court of Appeal will issue its decision in the coming days. The 49-year-old’s “empire”, writes the Sun, extended across the North West, Yorkshire and Wiltshire.
