A game that in the Albanian championship was considered decisive for the battle for survival evolved into a match with an unprecedented victory. Vora prevailed with 4-1 of Bylis (Villis) in the 18th matchday of the Albanian Super League, but what stole the show was not the score, but the voluntary retirement of the goalkeeper of the guests from the field of play.
Both teams are low in the standings and this particular match had the character of a "final survival". Nevertheless, Bylis' performance was disappointing, with continuous mistakes and a complete lack of cohesion.
Vora opened the scoring in the 10th minute, after a serious mistake by the visitors' defense. The second goal came in the 24th minute, in a phase that fully captured Bylis's competitive "blackout": the French goalkeeper Jeremy Vachoux he tried to quickly launch a counterattack, but his volley ended up at the feet of an opponent who scored unhindered.
In the 43rd minute, the Byllis goalkeeper made exactly the same mistake by volleying the ball into his opponent's feet, but this time without conceding a goal and then instead of taking the free kick, he left his goal and voluntarily left the field of play οδεύοντας προς τα αποδυτήρια.
The incident, which was captured on television, caused embarrassment for both his teammates and the spectators. His coach, also visibly taken aback, urgently called the team's reserve goalkeeper to prepare for a substitution.
From that point on, the game lost all competitive character. Vora continued to score and turned a theoretically crucial match into a no-holds-barred match, while Bylis was left discussing not so much the heavy defeat, but one of the strangest incidents to have recently occurred on Albanian stadiums.
