With a festive program at the facilities of the Nine-Year School, in the presence of Metropolitan Nathanael of Gjirokastër, the students of the “Breath of Love” Schools of the Metropolis of Gjirokastër (founded by the late Anastasios) honored the feast of the Three Hierarchs.
The event included choral hymns, the recitation of excerpts from speeches by the Three Hierarchs, the recitation of poems, etc., while the Metropolitan wished the children good progress in their lives, based on the ethos of faith.
And he added: “The Church has proclaimed the Three Hierarchs protectors of education, of pupils, students and teachers, presenting them as models of comprehensive education, where knowledge is not cut off from morality and science is not separated from faith. Their message always remains relevant: true education is not simply the accumulation of knowledge, but the formation of the inner man.”
A divine service was held at the “Anastasi” Cathedral of Gjirokaster, officiated by Metropolitan Nathanael, where the students attended church.
The Metropolitan of Gjirokastër communicates with directness and intimacy with young people, conveying to them the love and teachings of Orthodoxy.
