The feast of the Restoration of Icons is of particular importance for the Church of Albania, since they were desecrated and trampled upon during the years of atheism.

The celebration throughout albania was Festive, while after the divine services in the churches, processions of the icons followed.
At the Metropolitan Church of Fieri, Metropolitan Nikolaos officiated, leading the procession around the church, followed by believers and priests.
Metropolitan Antonios officiated at the church of Saint Athanasius of Elbasan, while the litany of icons took place in the courtyard of the church.
Metropolitan Astios officiated at the church of Saint Demetrius of Veratio, and towards the end of the divine service, the icons were paraded around the perimeter of the church.
The Metropolitan of Korçë celebrated the liturgy at the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Gjirokastër, outside which the litany of icons took place.
In his sermon, Metropolitan Nathanael emphasized that the restoration of the veneration of icons is a historical event, but also a perpetual appeal to every Christian to defend the truth of the faith with humility and love.
A litany of icons also took place in Korçë, where Metropolitan Anastasios officiated at the Resurrection Cathedral.
