Samaras: "Mitsotakis Does not like the right and the center-right"

In the interview given by the former Prime Minister,Antonis Samaras, on October 31, talks about all current issues, the progress of government work and the problems that citizens face in their everyday lives.

To the questions the former prime minister receives, he gives answers with particular emphasis on national Issues, the economy, immigration and demographics.

Mr. Samaras is particularly sharp about Kyriakos Mitsotakis when asked about his expulsion from New Democracy.

Examples of arrogance and institutional indecency

Antonis Samaras spoke about Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his expulsion from New Democracy, stating:

“I saw the Prime Minister himself recently leave Parliament during a leaders’ debate, saying that he did not have time to listen to everyone and answer them. In another debate, addressing a party president, he said: “Stop scolding.” He often speaks of “patriots of lentils and sofas.” These are all examples of arrogance and institutional indecency.

[…] What advantage does samaras have Over kyriakos mitsotakis? Who Made Him a minister? Samaras. Who Made Him a parliamentary representative in the tsipras-Varoufakis Six-month Term? Samaras. Who firmly supported him for President of New Democracy? Samaras. Who Was running all over the country, as you rightly said, during this entire Period? Samaras.Not for him, for the party. Are you saying that I have some kind of grudge because he didn't propose me for President of the Republic?

[…] Το πρόβλημα λοιπόν, μην κάνετε λάθος, δεν είναι ότι ο Σαμαράς δεν χωνεύει τον έναν ή τον άλλον ή τον Μητσοτάκη. Το πρόβλημα είναι ότι ο Μητσοτάκης δεν χωνεύει τη δεξιά, την κεντροδεξιά, ούτε και την ιστορία ούτε και τη βάση της Νέας Δημοκρατίας. Γι’ αυτό και την έχει μετατρέψει σε ένα υβρίδιο Σημιτικού ΠΑΣΟΚ με μπλε χρώμα. Η διαφορά επομένως του Σαμαρά με τον Μητσοτάκη δεν είναι προσωπική. Είναι πολιτική και αξιακή. Ο Σαμαράς, με δύο κουβέντες, δεν έχει κανένα γινάτι. Άλλοι φαίνεται ότι πάσχουν από εφιάλτες. 

[…] Δεν έφυγα εγώ για να επιστρέψω. Με διέγραψε ο κύριος Μητσοτάκης. Προσέξτε, διέγραψε άρον-άρον έναν Πρωθυπουργό πριν καν κυκλοφορήσει η εφημερίδα στην οποίαν είχα δώσει αυτή τη συνέντευξη. Βιαζότανε. Αλλά για την κυρία Ferrari, τον κύριο Φραπέ, τον κύριο Χασάπη, εκεί τους πήρε εβδομάδες για να αποφασίσουν τη δική τους τη διαγραφή. Είναι η πρώτη φορά στην ιστορία της παράταξης που διαγράφηκε ένας πρώην Πρωθυπουργός και Πρόεδρος του κόμματος. Και την πήρε αυτή την απόφαση υποτίθεται γιατί θίχτηκε λόγω Γεραπετρίτη. Στην πραγματικότητα, όπως σας είπα, βρήκε μια αφορμή για να μετατρέψει τη Νέα Δημοκρατία σε δικό του κόμμα.
