Michael Angelo Zervos, a Greek-American from Detroit, Michigan, is attempting to break the Guinness World Record by visiting all 195 countries in the world in the shortest time possible. “Project Kosmos,” as he calls his mission, is an extremely ambitious endeavor, which he began after a period of severe depression during the pandemic. Zervos, the son of Greek immigrants, has worked in the film and television industries, which has helped him gain the determination and resilience required for such a task.

Zervos decided to start this challenge with the aim of inspiring others who may be facing similar difficulties. As he explains, he wants to document every step of this adventurous journey and ask people in each country about their happiest moments. Through this, he hopes to help others find their own happiness.

Zervos admits that his journey has been full of challenges, both physical and emotional. He has made many sacrifices to maintain his health during the journey and relies on daily routines to maintain his balance. An important part of this process is maintaining contact with family and friends, as well as getting enough rest.

As a proud Greek-American, Zervos has had the opportunity to meet Greek communities in various countries, even in places like Burundi and Fiji. On a recent trip to Fiji, he shared his surprise at finding a Greek Orthodox church in a remote area, confirming the global presence of Greeks.

His goal is not to make money from this experience, but to collect stories and knowledge that can help others. Through his journey, he hopes to inspire and offer people the help they need.
