Torrential rains in the Korçë region also affected the roof of the Church of the Virgin Mary in Moschopoli. The local authorities of Moschopoli requested urgent intervention to repair the roof of the church, which has been classified as a first-class cultural monument.
So far, 8 churches have been saved in the village, which cannot be considered to be in good condition. Unfortunately, the historically valuable ecclesiastical monuments are often exposed to the ravages of nature, bad weather conditions, humidity, rain and snow, which destroy the culture of many centuries day by day.
The Church of “Panagia” in Moschopoli was built around 1700 and was declared a cultural monument in 1948.
