70 residents of the village of Ardasova in the Municipality of Finikai in Saranda live in difficult conditions.

In a report by the Albanian ABC News, people complain about frequent power outages and lack of water most of the time, which of course also happens in other villages of the Greek National Minority.

In addition, they speak of a lack of investment in the area, which naturally leads to abandonment and decline.

"We lack water, we don't have the conditions as they should. The lights (electricity) too. Many times the power is cut off when it starts to rain. The lines are very old, they are old. We have a problem with the lights, the facilities are from the communist system. They said they would build a substation, but still."

Unlike many other villages in Ardasova, there is a health center, but there is no one to provide its medical services.

"We have a health center, but we lack doctors, the nursing staff comes from the Other village. i will take our car and leave for Aghios Saranda," says one of the residents.

The children of the elderly who have emigrated are the only ones who remember investing in the village. A few years ago they gave money to repair the road, however, as it seems, the problems remain unresolved and the few residents of the village now live in truly difficult conditions.

Unfortunately, the abandonment of the SSM seems to be another obstacle to the development of even basic services, such as electricity and water, however, power outages and the poor road system make the situation difficult.
