On a recent visit to Himara, I saw a new Northern Epirus newspaper trying to “sink” into the local community. It is the newspaper “Krataios Logos” with Vasilis Iatrou as editor-in-chief, in other words something like an informal continuation of the newspaper “Laiko Vima” whose offices the new publication also uses.
But because the people of Himaria do not forget as easily as some would like to believe, they know that only for Strong it's not a reason. Especially in the case of the aqueduct in Drymades where the amount of 208,000 euros was collected from the Greek Government through Vasilis Iatrou's NGO, the final cost for the project was much less and almost all the people of Himariot who worked on the project were also fired.
