A fire broke out a short time ago in Dervitsani, Dropoli, Gjirokaster, with the area's fire trucks immediately rushing to the scene.
As reported by Albanian media, a 13-year-old girl with autism was at home and unfortunately died.
Regarding the causes of the tragic incident, the authorities suspect that the fire was likely caused by a heating device.
However, the situation was even more difficult because the area had been plunged into darkness since early afternoon.
