The road connecting the Logaras tunnel with Drymades and Himara remained impassable today, causing serious traffic problems and disruption to residents of the area.
The cause is traced to works to widen the road in the Palasa area. As part of the works, the contractor company proceeded with dynamic explosions to remove large rock masses, resulting in a large volume of stone and soil ending up on the road surface.
The extent of the phenomenon was such that the road is currently impassable, while traffic on this key section of the coastal road has been frozen. Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution and patience until normalcy is restored.
The company's heavy machinery is already at the scene, working intensively to clear debris and remove rocks. The contractor assumes full responsibility for the rapid restoration of traffic.
Delays are expected to continue until the road is fully cleared, but authorities point out that this intervention is necessary for the progress of the project and the future safety of drivers.
