An admittedly brazen attack took place in the early hours of Thursday, June 7, 2018, in Himara. The perpetrators, who apparently had nationalistic (anti-Greek) motives, acted in the early hours of the morning so as not to be noticed by the residents.
With excessive audacity, they desecrated the tomb of Milos Spyromilios, located in the courtyard of the church of All Saints, breaking the cross with the name (in Greek) and the photograph of the deceased. The message "HE WAS KILLED BY THE PARTIZANS AS AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE».
As if that weren't enough, they then spray-painted cars with Greek license plates that they found in their path.
So far, none of the well-known charlatan leaders of parties and organizations who often act in this way against the Greek national minority have appeared.
