Following the seizure the day before yesterday (26-11-2021) of a total quantity of -105.5- kilograms of raw cannabis and -24.7- grams of cocaine by the Narcotics Departments of the Igoumenitsa and Ioannina Security Sub-Directorates (regarding the Press Releases of our service dated 26-11-2021 and 27-11-2021), another case of drug detection emerged within the framework of the ongoing actions to combat the spread of drugs in Epirus.

This time, police officers from the DI.AS. Team of the Ioannina Immediate Action Department arrested yesterday (27-11-2021) at noon in Ioannina two foreigners (Albanians according to Albanian media) who are accused of possession and trafficking of drugs.

More specifically, following a check carried out by the police on a private car in which the arrested persons were travelling, -10- packages of raw cannabis were found and seized, weighing a total of -11- kilograms and -400- grams.

The above car as well as two mobile phones were seized.

The arrested persons will be brought before the Ioannina Criminal Court Prosecutor, while a preliminary investigation was conducted by the Narcotics Department of the Ioannina Security Sub-Directorate.
