A 31-year-old foreigner was arrested on 27-11-2021 in the afternoon in Florina, by police officers of the Florina Security Department, in collaboration with police officers of the Kakavia Passport Control Department, because he had pending charges against him:
Arrest warrant for Ms. Investigating Officer of the Minor Offense Courts of Rodopi, for the following offenses:
attempted extortion, with a threat of an act that causes damage to the property of the person being coerced, which was committed with threats combined with imminent danger to life,
attempted extortion, with threat of damage to the business and
illegal intervention in a personal data file, by the perpetrator who intended to obtain an illegal financial benefit for himself.
Decision of the Three-Member Court of Appeal for Criminal Cases of Thrace, by which he was sentenced to 4 years in prison, for the act of attempted extortion with the threat of damage to a business.
The arrested person will be taken to the Florina District Court Prosecutor's Office.
