Tirana will host the October 13 And 14, 2025 the EU-Western Balkans Investment Summit, a strategic investment forum that aims to strengthening economic cooperation and of investment opportunities between the countries of the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia) and the member states of the European Union.
The forum is supported by European Commission and is part of the EU's broader strategy for regional integration and the sustainable economic development.
The initiative aspires to offer a dialogue platform between investors, politicians and businessmen, highlighting opportunities in areas such as energy, digital technology, tourism, industrial production and sustainable developmentAt the same time, the forum will highlight ways to address critical challenges, such as regulatory barriers, the funding constraints and the geopolitical uncertainties.
Important points of the Forum
- High-level participation: Prime ministers of the western balkan Countries, Senior eU officials and Leading politicians will attend.
- Thematic sessions: Energy and renewable sources, sustainable tourism development, innovations in real estate and industry, financial sector.
- Networking and investment opportunities: Presentations of successful investment projects, B2B/B2G meetings and discussions on financing through mechanisms such as the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF).
The forum emphasizes the strategic importance of the region as a new investment hub for Europe, with the aim of creating a more resilient and competitive european economic blocThe experience of the EU enlargement in 2004 shows that the integration of emerging economies can lead to significant economic development, increase in productivity and investment support.
The EU-WB6 Investment Summit will be held at Palace of Congresses of Tirana and is expected to be a milestone in economic integration of the Western Balkans with the European Union, offering new opportunities for foreign direct investment, innovation and long-term development.
