A chance visit for an unpaid electricity bill led to the discovery of an extensive cannabis farm in Oxford, worth £1.5 million.

Three Albanian men, DM, 43, RS, 45, and VE, 38, are charged with conspiracy to produce cannabis in Oxfordshire and Essex.

The investigation began after reports of suspicious activity at a home in Oxford, where an energy company employee came across cannabis plants and immediately called the police.

In total, three factories were identified: two residences in Oxford and an industrial plant in Essex.

According to the prosecution, the prosecution does not have to prove the active participation of each defendant in each cultivation.

The trial in the case continues.
