A Croatian, an Albanian and three Greeks are the main suspects for the fatal wound to the hand of 29-year-old Michalis.
The Albanian and the Croat, upon their arrest, had folding knives with blood on them and were immediately separated from the rest of the arrested as suspects in the murder.
The two Greeks are organized fans of a Greek team and have a heavy criminal record.
The first is 27 years old and known to the police, as he has been arrested 4 times:
- 15/3/2018: arrested along with 10-15 other people for an attack with crowbars in a store in Petralona
- 20/2/2019: robbed at knifepoint while passing through Ilion
- 7/4/2019: arrested with a knife in Petroupoli
- 6/11/2021: a case was filed against him for arson, explosion, dangerous bodily harm, damage to another's property and robbery. He was arrested and remanded in custody, but was released on restrictive conditions.
In March 2022, his name appeared again in a criminal case for a female-led organization that organized raids, thefts, and attacks on clubs. However, he was released pending trial, which was postponed a few months ago.
His shop is located behind the Panathinaikos stadium on Alexandras Avenue. At 12 noon, it was targeted by about ten people riding unmarked motorbikes. After breaking windows, they fled. The police believe it was retaliation by organized fans of another team.
The second main suspect is also Greek, 27 years old and was arrested in February 2022 for participating in episodes of sports violence.
The third Greek main suspect is Being sought. however, he has been identified through posts on social media in which he declared his presence and participation in the fight.
The die-hard dynamo fans, Nationalists and dangerous, came to greece With heavy weapons: penknives, knives, boards with nails, iron pipes, knives with splinters.
According to information, the weapons were not detected during border checks, which leads the police to believe that they were supplied by Greek hard-core fans.
Investigations into the inaction of the Authorities
At the same time, internal investigations are in full swing at the Hellenic Police and so far it seems that in addition to the responsibilities that have been attributed to Police officers for how the Croats arrived from Kakavia to Elefsina, responsibilities may also be attributed to those involved in the movement they made undisturbed from Elefsina to the AEK stadium. The information that comes to light reveals operational inertia.
