Dismantling of a ring of Albanian cocaine traffickers in Attica

The Narcotics Sub-Directorate of the Attica Security Directorate dismantled a criminal organization of individuals of Albanian origin, which was systematically trafficking significant quantities of heroin in the wider Attica region and mainly to traffickers in the center of Athens.

Yesterday (27-11-2021) at noon, following an organized police operation in Kypseli and Galatsi, -3- foreigners (two men aged 33 and 36 and a 60-year-old woman), members of the organization, were arrested.

A case was filed against them for the -as appropriate- offenses of criminal organization and forgery and violations of the Legislation on addictive substances and on weapons.

To certify and uncover their criminal activity, a police investigation was conducted, with verifications and cross-checks of information and the creation of a "profile" of those involved.

In fact, a fully equipped heroin adulteration and reformulation laboratory used by the organization was located in a house in the Galatsi area.

During the investigation, the following roles were revealed:

the 33-year-old, in the direction of the organization, as well as in the discovery and coordination of the trafficking of narcotics

the 36-year-old, as responsible for the transportation of the drugs, as well as for the safekeeping of the money that came from the sales and

of the 60-year-old woman, as responsible for guarding the heroin adulteration and reformulation laboratory.

From the investigations carried out, a total of:

quantity of heroin Weighing -21- kilograms and -530- grams

revolver and -11- cartridges

-13,520- euros and -30,000- albanian Lek

-2- Private cars

-2- precision electronic scales

-7- mobile phones

complete drug laboratory equipment (press, shakers, etc.)

The arrested persons, with the case file filed against them, were taken to the competent Prosecutor.
