France's far-right national rally (RN) Party Is Leading in The first round of parliamentary elections, garnering around 34% of the Vote, polling companies iFOP, ipsos, opinionWay and Elabe Said In the First exit poll of the first round of the election.
The French left-wing alliance, the New Popular Front (NFP), comes in second with around 29%, ahead of President Emmanuel Macron's centrist bloc which is in third place with between 20.5-23%.
Elabe said in an estimate for BFM TV that the RN and its allies could win between 260-310 seats in parliament in the second round of the July 7 election, while Ipsos predicted a range of 230-280 seats for the RN and its allies in a poll for French Television.
289 seats are needed for an absolute majority in the National Assembly, the lower house of the French parliament.
