Interpol Tirana announced the extradition from Greece to Albania of a citizen who had been sentenced to 16 years in prison for armed robbery, committed in collaboration with an accomplice.

Thanks to the close cooperation between the services of Interpol Tirana and Interpol Athens, the extradition process of 39-year-old Eduard Vushaj, born in Shkodra, was completed.

The wanted man in question was wanted internationally, as in 2016 the Shkodra Court had sentenced him to 16 years in prison for the crime of "armed robbery".

According to police data, in 2013, in the village of Grabom, Vushaj, acting together with an accomplice, stopped the vehicle in which two citizens were traveling and, threatening them with a gun, took away their money and their car. In addition, he injured both of them with a sharp object (a knife).
