An albanian family of burglars are accused of breaking into the home Of Famous footballer raheem Sterling, stealing rolex watches and other designer items Worth More than £300,000. the gang targeted the homes of wealthy footballers In areas Including surrey, Essex, kent and Hertfordshire.
Burglars broke into Sterling's home while he was playing for England at the World Cup in Qatar. They used a ladder to enter Sterling's bedroom and stole ten luxury Rolex watches. The incident forced the former Liverpool and Manchester City player to urgently return to England, missing a crucial match in the tournament.
At Guildford Crown Court, Judge Catherine Hartley is presiding over the case of Emiliano Krosi, 24, who admitted his involvement in 15 high-value burglaries but denies charges in 18 others. Prosecutor Richard Bendall said the gang targeted luxury homes in affluent areas, often with large gardens that made it easy to access from the back. The burglars used ladders or garden furniture to gain access to the first floor of the houses and focused mainly on the bedroom, where they hoped to find the most valuable items.
In total, the gang was involved in 33 burglaries, with Krosi admitting to only 15 of them. The prosecutor stressed that the burglars were selective, stealing cash, jewelry and designer items that could easily be resold at a high profit. The court heard that six cars, including a red Mercedes, were used in the burglaries, all with fake number plates or registered to fictitious company names.
Krosi's accomplices, Gerrard Kalaja, Henri Osmani and Alfred Isufi, are believed to have fled the country. DNA from Kalaja and Isufi was found at the victims' homes, directly linking the suspects to the burglaries. Krosi and the other suspects were arrested after a house burglary in Blackhall Lane, Kent. Police tracked them down to a property in Roman Mews, Harlow, Essex, where a large quantity of stolen goods, jewellery, designer items and burglary equipment was found.
After their arrest, the suspects were released on bail to face questioning over burglaries in Surrey. However, they disappeared and Krosi was arrested again in August last year while driving a black Range Rover. Text messages on Krosi’s iPhone linked him to the sale of Rolex and Cartier watches. The prosecutor argued that Krosi selectively admitted to burglaries to which he had no room for denial. The trial continues on a charge of conspiracy to commit burglaries with intent to steal.
