Several prosecutors and judges from the SPAK and the Special Court are reportedly being questioned in the context of investigation No. 26, in which the Head of the Vlora Prosecutor's Office was arrested, Aurel Zarka, who also participated in the conspiracy of the fredis Beleris Case.
In the same case, three businessmen, Astrit Vladi, former Serious Crimes officer Erjona Dautaj, and lawyer Radovan Çela, have been declared wanted. This investigation, which concerns the interrogation of judges and prosecutors, is being conducted by SPAK prosecutor Klodian Braho, and involves individuals from the Tirana and Vlora Prosecutor's Offices.
SPAK has launched internal verifications, as a series of conversations on “Sky Enchro” were revealed, in which third parties claimed to have paid money to judges and prosecutors to solve problems with the judicial system. These testimonies, along with the conversations and other evidence, are being examined by Prosecutor Brajo, who is expected to draw conclusions for his colleagues. The investigation is also being monitored by intelligence services, as the file was started with the help of information from the code “Sky”, which arrived from the Belgian judiciary in Albania.
Belgian prosecutors have revealed that the failure of the investigation into the “Toyota Yaris” case, where 3.4 million euros were seized, was due to errors and corruption by high-ranking officials of the prosecution and judiciary in Albania. On 19 October 2021, Elvis Vladi was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison for failing to declare income at the border, but due to a shortened trial, his sentence was reduced to 1 year. In the same case, Agim Ceka was sentenced to 2 years and 4 months in prison for illegal possession of weapons, while the charges against Alfred Vladi, Alban Molaimeri, Eduard Cani and his son, Clevi Cani, were dismissed by Tirana judge Migena Laska.
