In the case that has caused a sensation, five members of a criminal group were convicted in 2023 for trafficking cocaine in the period 2020-2022, with a total prison sentence of 15 years.
In detail, the convicted include A.F., 24 years old, who was sentenced to 8 years and 6 months in prison, HF, 34 years old, who was sentenced to 9 years, and GL, 23 years old, who received a 7-year sentence.
This case came to light when A.F.'s brother was found dead in his home.
In addition to the first three convicted, five other men were linked to the same case and were also convicted for their involvement in illegal drug trafficking. A.D., 22, was sentenced to 2 years and 8 months in prison, H.B., 33, was sentenced to 4 years in prison, K.P., 24, received a sentence of 2 years and 8 months, A.B., 18, was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months, while A.K., 33, was sentenced to 3 years and 2 months in prison.
During the searches at the crime scene, police seized large sums of money and items that bolster the charges against the perpetrators. At least £50,000 was found, two Rolex watches worth £25,000, various clothes, shoes and bags worth £10,000, as well as a vehicle, a Toyota Prius worth around £7,000. Cocaine and a passport believed to be forged were also found.
