FIFA issues harsh warning to Albania over match against Serbia

The Football Federation of Albania (FSHF) was fined 161,500 Swiss francs by FIFA, as well as a partial exclusion of spectators (at least 20% of the stadium's capacity) in the next home match against Latvia.

Η τιμωρία επιβλήθηκε λόγω «επαναλαμβανόμενης ανάρμοστης και ρατσιστικής συμπεριφοράς» μέρους των Αλβανών φιλάθλων κατά τη διάρκεια του αγώνα Αλβανία–Σερβία, που διεξήχθη στις 7 Ιουνίου 2025 στο στάδιο “Air Albania”.

According to FIFA, the offenses included chanting racist slogans, throwing objects, using fireworks, indecent gestures and banners, and interrupting the playing of national anthems.

The Albanian Football Federation expressed its dissatisfaction with the decision, stressing that this punishment does not only affect itself, but also the country's national team and the entire fan community. It called on fans to avoid behavior that harms the team and contribute to creating a dignified and positive atmosphere in the stands.
